🚨🇩🇪 A German fan sent this message to Australian player Lucas Herrington, 18, after he missed his penalty against Egypt yesterday. 👏
✍️ "Dear Lucas Herrington,
If you ever read this: 31-year-old Champions League winner Leon Goretzka, who plays for Bayern — six-time Champions League winners — and Germany — four-time World Cup winners — didn’t dare take a penalty for his country when they needed him.
You did it at 18. You are so brave and a hero in our eyes." ❤️
Against Belgium, y’all flagged Taremi offside by his ass cheek.
Now against Egypt, it’s Khalilzadeh’s shoelace.
At this point, VAR is just coming up with new ways to disallow Iran’s goals.
OPINION:
FIFA should adopt Arsène Wenger’s proposed “daylight” offside rule.
Definition of the rule:
An attacker would only be offside if their entire body is beyond the second-to-last defender. If any legal scoring part of the attacker’s body is level with or behind the defender, they are onside.
Iran had history taken away from them last night. Khalilzadeh gained no meaningful advantage from being a few centimeters ahead compared to if his foot had been a few centimeters further back.
These are exactly the kinds of marginal decisions the offside law was never meant to punish. The daylight rule would restore the benefit of the doubt to the attacker and better reflect the spirit of the game.

The A10 Player of the Year is one of the nation’s most skilled bigs.

Found an imaginary problem, said only they could fix it, didn’t listen to experts, hired buddies who grifted millions, failed miserably, bragged how great it went.
The entire Trump presidency in a nutshell.

🚨 In a now-deleted post, Daniel Cormier exposed Eric Trump for asking him if any of the UFC White House fights were rigged:
"I'm probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent... Shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event."
The Spurs are not the biggest losers here.
It’s the Dallas Mavericks. They legitimately had both Jalen Brunson and Luka Doncic and had an all time generational fumble.
