2.5 years from T0 for the first prototype and 5 years from there for flight testing etc is a good timeline.
I hope it gets signed this years and we have T0 as 2026 so first prototype by 2029.

Digitisation and substitution of the AL-31 are appreciated, but India should also look at equipping these platforms with the AL-41F1S (117S) through domestic manufacturing and meaningful technology transfer, at least until the HAL AMCA engine ecosystem becomes a reality.

A positive news coming from AL31 side. They are making digital twin of AL31FP so indigenous parts can be subsisted in it subsequently.

So positive news on Kaveri and LCA. Yes it is happening but not as quickly as we want.
India is trying to secure all sort of 4 engines which we have been talking about. However there are roadblocks
- US : Tech Flow
- France : Money
- Russia : Complications
- UK : Confidence
