Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), 21 Model Residential Schools have been constructed across Assam, with 10 already completed.

Today, I had the honor of inaugurating one such school at Bandukmara in Hailakandi, built at a cost of ₹30.42 crore. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble MLA Zakir Hussain Laskar for his valuable cooperation.

@rajubarthakur Pre-1947, Karimganj, which forms a large part of the Barak Valley, was part of Sylhet , is a complete Bengali area since then ...they respect the majority's language...but not interested to change their mother tongue, as everyone loves thr mother tongue...
