Be still, my soul: The Lord is on thy side To guide the future as he has the past. Leave to thy God to order and provide In every change He faithful will remainThy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; The waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below
The disabled 500 pound (227 kg) lion and his unlikely Dachshund friends who have been inseparable ever since the lion was a cub.
The lion is named Bonedigger and his friend is Milo, an eight-year-old Dachshund which rarely leaves his side.
Bonedigger was born with a metabolic bone disease that left him mildly crippled and has also struck up an unusual bond with zookeeper John Reinke, who lost both of his legs following a bungee jump accident.
When Milo and two other five-year old wiener dogs, Bullet and Angel, sensed that the lion was disabled they sought to comfort and protect him and become his friends for life.
We are devastated by the passing of Kenya Flash, Librarian for Political Science, Global Affairs and Government Information @YaleMarxLibrary. Deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues on this incalculable loss. Photo: 2018 ALA/ACLR profile https://t.co/kDjZuW31bf
garlic is to cooking as vanilla extract is to baking in that the amount i add to my food is guided by reckless extravagance and utter disregard, verging on mild contempt, for the recipe as written

“Speak the truth to one another, render true and perfect justice in your gates. And do not contrive evil against one another, and do not love perjury, because all those are things that I hate, declares the LORD.”Zechariah 8:16-17
Fear not, for I am with you.
Be not dismayed for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
It's not just wishful thinking.
It's an inspired promise from God's Word. (Isaiah 41:10)
Know that our circumstances are no match for the power of God!
“You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield.” Psalm 115:11
Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend.
Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us,
but brings us up to Him.
