@SabioScientist @GHMansfield Yes some wards do have wheelchairs that do look like patients personal wheelchairs. But once I’ve opened my mouth and asked if it’s their personal wheelchair that’s the end of the convo. I go and find the hospitals wheelchair. Not ask if I can borrow it

Occupational health make sure reasonable accommodations are found and implemented for my disabilities including ones I hadn’t thought of before

@Lou_Na_Hearadh @comicsmademegay @quwurof @jbullockruns No where in my job description does it say I have to work nights it just says shift work. I can work the 12hr shifts but just do it in long days instead. I even work night shifts. But for those who don’t it’s not a requirement of the job.

@Lou_Na_Hearadh @comicsmademegay @quwurof @jbullockruns Aww poor you. Occ health clears me as fit to work and puts my reasonable accommodations into place. The job is disability positive meaning they like interviewing diverse candidates and are willing to reasonably accommodate them. This is why the equality act 2010 exists.

But when working shift pattens can affect a disability which is stable and well managed if you just keep a day time routine then yeah it’s a bit silly to not just accommodate that.

@Lou_Na_Hearadh @comicsmademegay @quwurof @jbullockruns Employ someone on a night only contract. But them out to bank. Idk. Quite frankly idc. It’s not our job to solve the staffing crisis. We’re entitled to reasonable accommodations, not working nights is one of those. By not work nights you lose out on a significant amount of money.
