So... just so we're clear... you want me to be afraid of trans women in the women's bathroom because they might be cis men pretending so they can assault women and children... and you think this reflects on... trans women... and not on cis men?
Do I have this correct?
@1originalc@MrsRieB @jen_gemini Currently some forms of methylphenidate are affected. Just not immediate release at this time. But yes methylphenidate has been in mass shortage before and unfortunately I’m sure it will be again
@SabioScientist @GHMansfield Yes some wards do have wheelchairs that do look like patients personal wheelchairs. But once I’ve opened my mouth and asked if it’s their personal wheelchair that’s the end of the convo. I go and find the hospitals wheelchair. Not ask if I can borrow it
@_sammyram@Nicole_Lee_Sch Yep. And they came and boostered us for a lot of other vaccines too and we were able to self consent for some of them once we were old enough so we didn’t miss out.
@Gavhuds @St3v3Hancock@HowtoADHD I’ve started using the Sainsbury’s own brand battery powered electric one to get away from having to charge mine. It’s cheap as well
@Lou_Na_Hearadh@comicsmademegay@quwurof @jbullockruns If I wasn’t competent they wouldn’t have hired me. I disclosed my disability in the hiring process and months before I start the job. Occupational health make sure reasonable accommodations are found and implemented for my disabilities including ones I hadn’t thought of before
@Lou_Na_Hearadh@comicsmademegay@quwurof @jbullockruns No where in my job description does it say I have to work nights it just says shift work. I can work the 12hr shifts but just do it in long days instead. I even work night shifts. But for those who don’t it’s not a requirement of the job.
@Lou_Na_Hearadh@comicsmademegay@quwurof @jbullockruns Aww poor you. Occ health clears me as fit to work and puts my reasonable accommodations into place. The job is disability positive meaning they like interviewing diverse candidates and are willing to reasonably accommodate them. This is why the equality act 2010 exists.
@Lou_Na_Hearadh@comicsmademegay@quwurof @jbullockruns No one said that other people’s health isn’t negatively affected by shift change. But when working shift pattens can affect a disability which is stable and well managed if you just keep a day time routine then yeah it’s a bit silly to not just accommodate that.
@Lou_Na_Hearadh@comicsmademegay@quwurof @jbullockruns Employ someone on a night only contract. But them out to bank. Idk. Quite frankly idc. It’s not our job to solve the staffing crisis. We’re entitled to reasonable accommodations, not working nights is one of those. By not work nights you lose out on a significant amount of money.
