the more i watch house of the dragon the most i respect cersei lannister. yeah she was evil and nasty asf but she played the game so well lmao aemond would’ve BEEN #handled
THIS MAN????? The #1 Lucerys defender?
The “History does not remember blood, it remembers names” guy? The one who didn’t even mourn his brother because he DARED to proclaim them bastards?
I know the writing is inconsistent and the characters contradict themselves but cmon
Cersei married into the crown, Robert was the Baratheon that won it therefor HIS line is the royalty in the equation. Joffrey and Tommen were full Lannister with NO Baratheon, so no claim. Rhaenyra's kids were of royal blood thru the Targaryen line and legitimized by Laenor. tf
@DaeronTargtower You’re saying well Rhaenyra did it wrong. How. Legit how. She married two strong allies twice. Neither one of the kings had a problem with her children. All of her children claimed dragons and then she put the children in strong marriages. So. What did she do that was wrong?
@DaeronTargtower You wanna play the game that the kids are bastards - so what - Jace was slated to marry Targ 1st Generation Princess, Luke was slated to marry a 1st Gen Targ. All of them would have had children giving the Velayrons and Targ’s trueborn heirs
@KevinPendragon_ Let’s just say Jace was a true and everyone knew it and he happened to have dark hair as a quirk of paternity like Jon … Viserys would still go out of his way to say, Jace is a Targ, he would still parade him in front of everyone because that’s what kings do with their heirs
@KevinPendragon_ Kings reinforce standing claims all the time, Viserys doing it repeatedly shows he took the threat to their legitimacy seriously to close the door & invest in their claim as many times as he needed to presumably kill any challenges
