Can someone make a deodorant-like stick of beef tallow & a roller ball for ghee so I can put a thin layer on a pan without adding 900 calories & an extra spoon to wash every time I cook?
I make my own ghee but for the convenience I would buy this in a heartbeat.
Owning your own manufacturing comes with 9000x more headaches.
BUT - it forces you to make better products, forces you to make things people actually want and forces performance when others rely on you to eat.
new winner incoming.
running one right now and we're able to generate 4-5 full length (4-6 minute) usable videos a day, render time is sitting longer than I would like. We're doing initial image gen / storyboarding outside of the set up right now which keeps character congruency.
I want to get rendering time down, we have 4 studios we haven't set up yet but mac allows them to be "chained" together.
I have a 128gb macbook that we're going to work on programming as the "brain" to check the work / direction of what's being produced from the studios.
Minimax. Used Claude to build a tool to handle stitching / proper lora set up, each clip is individually generated at 5 seconds then matched against our prompt, if it matches it generates fully and saves then combines, if it doesn't it gets sent back to regen. backend puts it all together.
I have a 128gb macbook that sits around and an rtx 5090. We're exclusively generating on the studios right now. (screen recorded a section of one of the videos)
Life is so short.
best friend lost his mom to cancer this week.
my dad is having surgery today.
bloodwork today for fertility markers because Iβm old, forgot how fast time moves and should have had kids earlier.
I love the game but itβs so easy to spend all your time on it instead of with people you love.
Brand groups are great for retention and community!
Facebook groups are so underrated.
Growth hack- grow a group in your niche unbranded / no sales for at least a year / genuinely become a voice they trust then launch products to them that they want. These people will go to war for you.
how many minutes of footage generated? We realized all the AI tools were going through the roof and we could daisy-chain 4 mac studios with my husbands higher end mac book.
Had claude build a generator tool, uses lora's / everything is run locally.
We set it up that the larger ram macbook works as the "boss" and the studios are worker bees. The "boss" generates the story board, sends to the workers, the workers generate the clips, the boss checks the output and sends it back until it matches exactly whats on the story board automatically and pieces it together, once finished it moves onto the next storyboard task and can run 24/7.
Its $18K in hardware that's portable / is a laptop + 4 mac studios. Our total monthly cost is $8 in electricity increase and produces a two minute video every hour of the day if we have the scripts / briefs ready.
@jordanmenard Husband and I spent our 20's saying "Im not ready to have kids and if we do maybe we'll have one but later, I have too much I want to accomplish first"
35, trying for kids now, we wish we started 10 years ago and had 4-5, could have accomplished everything with them.
Fully believe what you put into the world comes back to you. The world runs on energy.
Good energy out. Good energy in.
Bad energy out. Bad energy in.
The last few months have been way harder and I fully believe it's because we've been way more disconnected from the business.
This week:
Spent some time in production that I haven't done in forever
One-shotted a new flavor that's killer and we'll launch later this week
Rebuilt the PDP because it's been two years and it's time
Filmed a bunch of founder ads
Husband built a few local LLM tools because I refuse to spend $5,000 a month on AI tools / don't trust the security behind most of them.
Started working on a creator training program to do in person. I live in a solar powered master planned town filled with mom's that I know can produce great yaps / content and deserve to make money doing it. (and it benefits the brand).
AND sales are getting back on track (amazing, energy am I right?)
ANYWAY - Be more human, go out and do stuff, remember to be grateful for zucks magic money printer even when things aren't always going your way.
New York- grew up on long island / worked in NYC - would go back in a heartbeat but might just be that I grew up there. People are very intelligent.
Miami - Florida as a whole is shit weather. Im on the other coast directly across now to be near family, its still 90 degrees and 100% humidity. If my family wasn't here now I'd leave.
Austin - Lived in Austin for 2 years, cool city, small. It's brown year round and pretty depressing. Winters get cold, some ice storms, they "salt" the road with sand. Summers it doesn't rain, everything dies and turns brown. Highway medium was regularly on fire. Also homeless population was pretty scary. NY had docile homeless people, Austin's homeless were aggressive. (we left in 2022)
San Diego - Haven't lived, considered a move to the bay area last year & decided against moving our brand there due to heavily regulation.
I'll always pick NY.
