Stronger together rubbish, go on sucking up to white supremacy and don't count me in your nonsense. At least they don't pretend; they are obvious with their racism, and you are desperately seeking their approval and inclusion.
The Springbok, and the Colours of the National South African Rugby squad.
Let me explain:
The Springbok symbol and Colours, being green and gold, were designed by Paul Roos in 1906. Paul Roos was the Captain of the whites-only National Rugby squad.
In 1963, the South African Rugby Board copyrighted the Springbok emblem and the colours as a badge under the Heraldry Act to avoid another sporting body from using the colours. The Board initially declared they don't mind sharing the colours but only if they were awarded to amateur WHITE athletes.
Later, in 1971 the actual Apartheid government itself passed laws that ensured Springbok Colours would STRICTLY be awarded to WHITE sportspeople only. This was later extended to "honorary whites" (Black, Coloured and Indian athletes) as a back door method to be allowed to participate in International sport.
^^ This followed Glen Popham winning Gold for Karate for South Africa at the Olympics and not being awarded the Springbok Colours for being Coloured. (Basically the Springbok colours were only made available to select people of colour so that APARTHEID gov could USE THEM)
PS: Paul Roos, the very same team Captain who invented the Springbok emblem + colours, was elected as a Member of Parliament for the APARTHEID GOVERNMENT under the National Party in 1948 and later died that year.
The Springbok emblem and colours were racist and anti-Black from the very start. And it remains that way today.
AKAs death really F%cked me up. ๐ But should be a turning point for major SA Celebs when it comes to security detail. Household Brands should invest less in cars and jewellery and booze and partying and invest more in Security detail.
