This is absolutely disgraceful footage coming out of an England youth team on national duty. In a hotel room, players turn on one of their own in what looks on its face like straight-up bullying.

One lad is pinned, wrestled and slammed while the rest of the squad stands around laughing and filming instead of stepping in.

This is not just lads blowing off steam or a normal clash. It is players in full England gear behaving like this while on duty for their country. It looks horrendous and reflects terribly on the whole setup.

Someone should have intervened immediately. There is no excuse. And who thought it was a good idea to leak this footage online for the world to see?

Where is the FA statement? Where is the investigation or any context at all? The silence so far only makes it worse.

When I was in JHS, we had PE kits that we wore for sports every Friday. One Friday, I secretly took a home dress to school so I could change into it after sports. I knew very well that my mother would be furious if she found out. I knew it was against the rules. Yet I did it anyway.

Now imagine if, instead of correcting or punishing me, a teacher had decided to take advantage of me because of that poor decision.

Unfortunately for me, my mother checked my bag when I got home and I received the beating of my life. I learned my lesson. Looking back, I was just a child being foolish, testing boundaries, and making a bad decision.

That is exactly the point: children can know something is wrong and still do it anyway. Their poor judgment does not make them responsible for an adult exploiting them.

It would haunt me forever to think that someone in a position of trust could have taken advantage of me in that vulnerable moment simply because I made a childish mistake. Adults are supposed to correct children, not exploit them.

The biggest flaw in your argument is how it uses absent parents (no PTA, no report card days, kids missing school with zero contact) to soften responsibility for the teacher.
That’s a fallacy of blame-shifting.
Poor parental involvement is a real problem that leaves children more vulnerable and without guidance. But the absence of parents doesn’t reduce the teacher’s duty, it actually increases it. When parents are missing, the teacher becomes one of the few adults in a position of authority who is supposed to protect the child, not exploit whatever gaps exist at home.
Your argument treats the student’s behavior (which may probably be from lack of supervision) as something that partially explains or shares causation for the teacher having sex with her. That logic is backwards and downright retarded. A child acting out or crossing boundaries because of absent parents is a sign she needs protection and correction from adults starting with the teacher.
It is not evidence that the teacher was “tempted into” misconduct.
In your own story, receiving explicit messages from students is disturbing and highlights exactly why strong boundaries and immediate reporting exist. Choosing to report (as was done) is the correct response. Choosing to engage sexually is not made any less wrong because “parents weren’t around.” The teacher still had full agency and a professional obligation.
We can fix parenting failures, improve family-school communication, and address what kids are exposed to online. Those are important, separate issues. But they don’t create a “both sides” situation when an adult in authority has sex with a student. The person who made that choice owns it completely.
