Another amazing day of fishing in Sanibel. Tomorrow is my last day in paradise, so look for blog updates and pics next week.

After a couple of days of bad weather and bad fishing, things picked up nicely yesterday. We got into a nice school of mackerel.

Day 6 in Sanibel. Today the weather and the fishing took a turn for the worse.

Day 5 in Sanibel...Mrs. Kayak Sportsman was chased by a shark yesterday, and caught four sharks today!

Still here in Sanibel Island, Florida. The kayaking and the fishing have been spectacular. We filled our cooler with fish yesterday.

Mrs. Kayak Sportsman was chased out of the water yesterday by a hammerhead shark! It was at least, 18-20...inches long!!

The Spanish mackerel are still running in large schools, and there are sea trout and black tip sharks being caught in good numbers as well.

Still fishing in Sanibel Island, FL. There are some huge snook being caught right offshore with live bait.

Despite the oil spill and the cold winter, the fishing off of Sanibel Island, FL is just fine. Catching large snook, mackerel, and trout.

We've been catching plenty of fish standing waist-deep in the surf, but the kayak is going in the water as soon as the World Cup final ends.

There are huge schools of baitfish in the shallow water offshore, and large schools of Spanish Mackerel running after them.

First full day on the Gulf Coast. No oil on the beach, but plenty of fish in the water.

Tomorrow I begin a two week vacation of kayaking and fishing. Lots of updates to come!
