Also, the combat feels spruced up compared to the original. Crafts have extra effects, like Joshua's Flicker already has the AT Delay effect.
I played the demo on hard and if I didn't do things just right (like lining up Flicker to hit multi-target constantly), I wiped lol
Man, I kinda wanna play the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake just to see Olivier in 3D 😭
But I think it's wiser to spend that money on moving on to the rest of the series.
Also for anyone who hasn't played it yet, I recommend it for people that are into characters & lore!
Okay I just checked the new FE trailer, looks cool!
So it's set in the 3H universe? I did think the Alucard-looking guy's sword looked like a Hero's Relic 🤔 Adult Sothis is cool too
Hopefully this one won't spawn years of discourse again lmao
(Also I don't have a Sw2 RIP)
I liked seeing what the rest of the Sky cast was up to too, & also the vibe of it being a reunion of old friends. The ending was a good send off to the Sky arc! Goodbye Olivier 😭
I'll take a break before playing the Crossbell arc, to avoid burnout & let go of the Sky cast

Finished! It was good to see Kevin's backstory and char development, since he was like suspicious & mysterious in SC.
Ries was cool too, she was savage to Gilbert at the beginning and I feared she'd be just a food obsessed char, but she's very supportive.

I didn't know where to find part 2 of the Tita door until after I finished the game and looked it up. 🫠
Glad I checked it, because it's pretty funny (as per the screenshot)
Btw I also saw the "time for ul-tra vi-o-len-ce" line and I must say it's even funnier in context.
I heard her funny lines were in part due to the OG localization of the Sky games, but I hope she still has the funny banter in the remake at least 😭
Didn't have time to play, so here's some Estelle appreciation today.
She was a great protag, I liked her character development across the Sky arc and her banter with Olivier
(come to think of it, that helped my enjoyment of him lmao. Sorry olive I just enjoy jokes at ur expense)
- I appreciate that the Cassius fight gameplay does justice to how hyped up he is in lore. He almost wiped my party with his S-Craft and then I was struggling in a revival & healing loop as he kept KOing multiple characters at once. lol

[Trails Sky 3rd spoilers] Random thoughts (up to end of Ch.7)
- It's cool how there are bits of Erebonia world building scattered through the ambassador sidequest in SC, the Olivier door and Bleublanc's backstory. They all show a peek at how rigid the nobility system is.
(1/3)
- I like how when Kevin describes whoever is the Lord of Phantasma as arrogant and only sees people as pawns, Olivier is the first one to ask who it is with furrowed brows. I thought the same thing: "wow that sounds just like the chancellor!"

Finished Ch.7 and all I can say is: man… I didn't expect this series to have such dark backstories!
I need to prep for the final chapter, it'll take a while to progress the story. Like there's a door that asks for 400 battles, but I've only done like 250 haha…
Ofc I also gotta gush over Olivier still being himself even while taunting Osborne at the end. lmao
Their convo also hints that Olivier got more determined in Liberl, which supports nicely what he says to the barkeeper at the Haken Gate in SC.
The adventure did him good!

[Trails Sky 3rd + spoilers for Sky SC]
Just did the Olivier door and that was exciting!
It shows how much he's been planning for his goals and also introduces the chancellor as this really scary villain for future arcs.
(Also it makes me want to play the rest of the series)

-his moves got completely read, and it shows in his expressions because he almost never showed genuine anger or frustration before this.
(One notable case was when Weissmann reveals his involvement in Hamel's tragedy, which visibly angers Olivier if he's in the party)
