Gov’t & Public Affairs @BransfordS8399 | @thePenmanGroup. Advocate for public service, 911, children & survivors. Driving to state capitols w/ #capitalcitycorgi
Excited to be expanding my work with @thepenmangroup to DC for such important causes - and giving a stronger voice to organizations advocating for Missouri’s women, children, and families.

Had the chance to serve as a career mentor at the Summit for America’s Youth w/ @BGCA_Clubs—sharing how advocacy helps orgs like BGCA fund their work, shape policy & promote their mission. These kids are sharp & ready for the Hill. Might’ve recruited a few future lobbyists. 😉
Thrilled to have the MO Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence in DC this week advocating for survivors. Grateful that Missouri—esp. @RepAnnWagner—is championing H.R. 909 to stabilize the Crime Victims Fund. 192 cosponsors & counting! 💜 @nnedv@endsxlviolence#AdvocacyDays
“There were over 10 counties where you couldn’t call 911 from your cell phone and geolocate it.” Thanks to federal and state funding, we’ve made major progress—but $10M more is needed to ensure NG911 reaches every county in MO & saves more lives. #moleg https://t.co/AWFLDCOpDa
Happy NPSTW, honoring public safety telecommunicators for their commitment, service & sacrifice. This week, over 30 telecommunicator first responders came to the MO Capitol to thank #moleg & @GovParsonMO for their continued support & to share some amazing news on 911 for MO (1/4)
@GovParsonMO: “We are proud to have all Missourians on track to receive the modern 911 services they deserve and expect. These projects will provide lifesaving services to citizens and travelers across Missouri as well as help our first responders do their jobs even better..."
I loved hosting some of my best and fiercest advocates for 911 this week in DC. We have done great work in MO - but we have a long way to go to get the citizens and telecommunicators of Missouri the services and recognition they deserve.
That’s a wrap on the MO 911 Service Board’s week on the Hill! The Board met with nearly every MO office to inform them of the great progress the state is making - and also on how much more needs to be done to get every Missourian the 911 services they deserve!
Proud to share Missouri’s incredible work to support 911 & telecommunicators during yesterday’s State Advocacy panel at 911 Goes to Washington. #NENAGTW
"Additionally, reclassification may help in recruiting and retaining staff due to more accurate expectations of the role and increased benefits that may emerge under a new classification. See NCSL’s Brief on state and federal efforts to elevate the 911 workforce to learn more."
"Reclassifying 911 telecommunicators as first responders or a related title is viewed as an easy method to better reflect the central role they play in public safety and homeland security." (2/3)
Great news: Gov. Parson signed SB24 into law, designating 911 telecommunicators as first responders! Starting 8/28, they'll get the recognition they deserve and access to additional benefits. Congrats to our newest first responders!

“The history of the Boys and Girls Clubs are the history of our country,” - @usedgov Deputy Sec. Cindy Marten on 160(!) years @BGCA_Clubs helping youth find opportunities, success, safety, and a sense of belonging in their communities.
Look forward to learning from young leaders at the @BGCA_Clubs Summit for America’s Youth. @kahlil_greene opened this year’s Thought Leadership Forum by talking about the power of young leaders and the impact of his local Boys & Girls Club in his own success.
Release from @MOAPCO, MO-NENA & MO 911 Directors re: SB 24, reclassifying telecommunicators as first responders, inc. special thanks to @lincolnhough@votegannon Rep Perkins @RobertESauls. The recognition that telecommunicators have earned and deserve. FIRST first responders.
911 telecommunicators are now classified as first responders and have access to mental health care.
Moms on Medicaid have their care extended until 12 months*(!) postpartum.
Public Administrators can use pooled accounts to administer conservatorships.
Grateful.
