A6: I saw several tweets of Ts allowing their Ss to collaborate into distinguishing their definition of what poetry is. This is a great way to introduce poetry and may help both the students and the teacher get on the same page. I would love to do this in my classroom! #nctechat

A4: Although I'm only a pre-service teacher, I would say one of the best strategies to use when teaching poetry is to ask the student to repeat the poem, reading it aloud and listening to the rhythm and the words as they read. #nctechat

A7: Like music and chorus programs, educators could create an authentic audience for their students by creating a poetry program. By moving poetry outside of the classroom, educators could encourage their schools to allow them to host a community wide. #ilachat
