Ser Luthor & Ser Lorent dying before they do in the source material (whom were Rhaenyra's loyal protectors) but not only does Gwayne live past his book death but got a show invented plot w Criston AND now w Ormund/Daeron...yeah I think it's pretty clear which side is favored
I’m nasty towards every tg Stan because even if you support tg, especially as a woman, and you have convinced yourself you are not a blatant misogynist, you break bread with people who I’ve seen say nothing but abhorrent things about rhaenyra. Go to hell
@rvgsdelight Also inventing not one but two plotlines for Gwayne when he's supposed to be dead, meanwhile Baela and Rhaena are more treated as just plot devices instead of actual characters when they're literally the daughters of the King Consort & stepdaughters/cousins to the Queen.
made him a victim of bullying, made luke’s murder a mere accident, made him alys’s savior despite him taking her as a spoils of war…yeah tell me how the show isn’t green biased I’ll wait.
@daenysdreams These show writers really just like to have the characters straight up say something that they’ve done absolutely 0 to actually SHOW at all
Me estressa como os atores de hotd ficam chateados pelas pessoas não gostarem de seus personagens, bicho, seu personagem é um incel, o que você esperava que o público sentisse em relação a ele?
@gabi37894@smithcelblondie@Blonddieee_ Plus, the one actual useful piece of information she CAN give to Rhaenyra about Alicent & Helaena she chooses NOT to share b/c she’s stupidly lets herself get manipulated by Alicent.
All she’s good for is arguing w/ Daemon who shouldn’t take the bait, but he knows his place w/
if i were to say i'm west african/predominantly nigerian...that would be factually incorrect due to the fact that none of my ancestors have stepped foot on the african continent for over 400 years. "where are you from ACTUALLY" is the stupidest thing i've heard from euros to AA's
@ShimmieShi_ What I don’t understand is how Caribbean people are allowed to say the islands but AA aren’t allowed to say America as if we both didn’t get shipped at the same time
Someone should host classes teaching Black Americans how to respond when they encounter this kind of ignorance. Maybe I should do it because, I swear, no one tries me with this nonsense once I say that I have zero immigrant ancestry and that all of my ancestors were on this soil before the U.S. became a nation. For me, pre-colonial ancestry is irrelevant when naming a contemporary, modern-era identity.
Saying "my family is from Sweden" is no more legitimate an answer than saying "my family is from the U.S.," as both labels reflect contemporary, modern-era cultures and nations. No one asks a Swedish person to identify their medieval polity, province, or premodern ethnonym. They simply accept "Swedish" as an identity, and the same courtesy should be extended to Black Americans.
@daenysdreams I was SHOCKED to hear Alicent mention one of Rhaenyra’s children when she brought up Joffrey. She mentioned Baela too! But again, if she’s a prisoner, how does she know who has what bedroom? I guess one of the maids could have told her that 🤷🏽♀️
@daenysdreams They didn’t talk about Mysaria.
This show either doesn’t really know what it’s doing or just thinks the audience at large is too stupid (some definitely are) to see all the holes.
Something’s not right when you have to explain & justify so much after every single episode and so much of your justification are things that you don’t put on screen.
It’s somewhat amazing how much explaining they have to do after every episode since whatever it was they’re trying to convey failed miserably to show up on screen.
HotD makes a lot more sense once you accept that they're throwing spaghetti at the wall and only after the fact do they try to explain what the spaghetti is doing.
deep down Mysaria loves Daemon?
it’s sorta fascinating that someone just brought up how this show sucks at interpersonal relationships, bc i have not once ever gotten the sense that there may be love there.
