We need to be doing everything we can to turn Canada into the best place for entrepreneurs to build 🇨🇦
What's proposed in the federal budget will do the complete opposite. Innovators and entrepreneurs will suffer and their success will be penalized -- this is not a wealth tax, it's a tax on innovation and risk taking.
Our policy failures are America's gains. At a time when our country is facing critically low productivity and business investment our political leaders are failing our country's entrepreneurs.
Please start listening to the people in the arena.
As of Dec. 20, it will no longer be legal in Canada to manufacture or import most plastic shopping bags or straws, along with stir sticks, cutlery and takeout containers. https://t.co/21FpJ3icd0
I'm excited to share this interview I did with @KayliDale, co-founder of reusable packaging company @be_friendlier https://t.co/sGEEzRSZRg We talk about:

Packaging is the "silent salesman" of a brand, so what message is portrayed when branded #packaging litters our streets and beaches?
A study in the UK found that 76% of customers who saw branded packaging on the ground admitted to passing a perception to the brand.
When plastic was introduced it was considered a sustainable solution to reduce deforestation caused by paper- based products. Without a circular economy, banning materials will only lead to more environmental challenges.

Canada has become one of the biggest exporters of recyclable paper to India.
We send them contaminated recycled materials, then blame them for pollution.

Did you know that only 9% of #plastic is recycled in Canada, and only about 2% is actually made into a product that can be recycled again?
We all learned about #reduce#reuse#recycle, but seem to have forgotten about the first, more efficient R’s.
We can't recycle our way out of plastic pollution, reuse business models are crucial. @CocaColaCo is the 1st major brand to put in place a company-wide reuse commitment. We hope this inspires others to recognise the reuse opportunity in their strategies.
