Very excited to share my first paper is out! 🎉 We explore the evolution of the multiple eye pairs in spiders🕷️(https://t.co/Y48O6Wh7F1)
Couldn’t have done it without to the mentorship of the brilliant @Lauren_hSR!
先日OISTの方々とやんばるへ行ってきました!写真はキジロオヒキグモと、それを皆で観察しているところです。
I went to the Yambaru with OIST researchers the other day! These two pictures are of a Scorpion tail spider and us while observing it, respectively.
And to close 2023, another spidery treat! Eye size is linked to many aspects of visual physiology, ecology, and behaviour - but what if you can have lots of eyes, in different sizes? @KaylinChong dived into the visual allometry of spiders to find out! https://t.co/ZTwczMOckC 1/n
Lab alumna Kaylin Chong* presented her work on the allometry of spider eyes at the @AAS_arachnology meeting this week! 👩🏻💼🥳🕷️
We are cheering you on from the other side of the pond - stay tuned for a pre-print soon!
*then @morethanadodo@OxfordBiology, now @MCZHarvard!
