So very proud to accept this award with @liavargas on behalf of NUH service champions supporting our armed forces community for our patients and staff alike. A huge thank you also to @Motorfinityuk who kindly sponsored our award and made us feel so welcome on their table tonight
Our Emergency Department is extremely busy. Please attend only if your injury/illness is a genuine emergency. Otherwise, please visit https://t.co/bPlpsOacjC where trained advisers can help identify the fastest and most appropriate place for you to seek care. #HelpUsHelpYou
We have 230 patients in a very overcrowded ED. We also have some patients waiting an hour to be taken from an ambulance into ED. This delays those ambulances getting out to 58 patients in the community. Please do not come unless it is an emergency . #HelpUsHelpYou
Please think carefully about the services you use as the local health and care system faces significant pressures due to increased demand as well as planned strike activity next week.
First they’ll charge you for GP and A&E visits.
Then for therapies and outpatient appointments.
Then before you know it you’ll face eye-watering bills like they do in America.
Can any of us afford to pay $42,347.46 to deliver a baby?
Suggesting people pay for GP appointments and A&E attendances is the yet another step towards an agenda that leads to privatisation of the NHS
The NHS should ALWAYS be free at the point of need no matter what your circumstances
Thanks to patients and staff filmed @SFHFT - the toughest pressures many in the NHS can remember continue - it's difficult getting some patients home - there's a fresh appeal to relatives to help where they can. More @bbcemt 1830 BBC1
Dear British Press,
There is nothing in Prince Harry’s autobiography as scandalous as the implosion of our NHS.
So please report on the things which are actually important
Thanks
Rob (a non spare a&e Dr)

Dear @SteveBarclay,
I get paid £15.50/hr working in A&E on a 48hr/wk contract and I'm on a 30min unpaid break during a night shift. Your NHS negligence kills 500 people a week and you're telling us to work harder?! May I prescribe a visit to @specsavers?

Our A&E remains extremely busy and patients are facing long waits. Please bear this in mind when you visit. Remember that our staff are working tirelessly to care for our patients. They will always prioritise those most in need so please be patient.
#NoExcuseForAbuse
We have joined colleagues from @NHSNotts, @SFHFT, @nottmhospitals and @DBH_NHSFT in sharing this open letter asking our communities to help us avoid local services from being overwhelmed this #NewYear.
Thank you for your continued support.

When nurses go on strike…
Govt accuses them of putting patients’ lives in danger
Yet when multiple NHS trusts have to declare a critical incident due to chronic underfunding from successive Tory governments
…absolute tumbleweed.
Never seen A&E like this. Never seen staff so mentally and physically exhausted. Never felt so worried for our patients. Never felt so let down by those who have the power to fix this. When will someone say enough is enough? @NHS_Lothian@RIE_Lothian@EdinburghEM
Derbyshire’s NHS remains in a very challenged position this evening, with long waits in place for 111 callbacks or urgent treatment centre (UTC) & ED treatment. Staff have worked tirelessly to care for a record number of patients. Here are some things you can do to help (1/6)
Today (29 Dec), we declared a critical incident due to the large number of people arriving at our Emergency Department. We're asking our local communities to help ease pressures on our hospitals & support us to safely discharge patients.

I’ve worked in A&E for 22 years & seen nothing like this before.
The NHS is in a critical state. We need urgent action for sake of our staff & patients.
@SteveBarclay@RishiSunak we need you to listen to those who know what’s happening.
