A Brief on Jim Muhwezi’s corruption Scandals in this NRM Gov't! The last one is on Digital Numberplates!
GAVI: As Health Minister, UG Shs. 1.6bn in GAVI funds, including a UGX1.071bn requisition vanished through him with no trace up to date!
Global Fund: Jim Muhwezi was implicated in the wider scandal involving US$40m in missing funds.
CHOGM: Jim was also involved ina scandal of UG. Shs. 19bn vehicle deal
Digital plates: Today, He's also involved in the ITMS project reportedly worth US$127m (~UGX449bn), with another model exceeding US$250m.
That's him, and he's among the Richest Politicians in Uganda with a Private Helicopter to his Name!
And for you, every NRA officer must be poor? We worked for FREE for 5 years of War; no pay, no food, no drugs, and burying comrades EVERYDAY!
Then we came and were paid peanuts..
Until your system went Capitalist; privatised, allowed OFFICERS TO DO BUSINESS, which was ILLEGAL UNDER NRA LAW..
So tbose offices have been EARNING A LIVING FOR 40 YEARS, 30, 20...getting paid.... Some as MPs, others are ambassadors, others are Senior Commanders, etc, for 20, 30, 40 years. And also doing Business...; For us, ORIGINAL NRA, IT WAS ILLEGAL TO ANGAGE IN BUSINESS...Your politicians removed it....so Soldiers also became TRADERs LIKE YOU....
But despite all this, for you, every officer who has land, good house and a car is a thief?
Yet, you fellows come and become Ministers, MPs, PSs, Commissioners, etc for just 10 years and you drive nice cars, build hotels & fly 1st class. But an officer who has served his country for 40 , 30, 20 years should remain poor?
Need to work on your analytics!
@SarahBireete We Ugandans love OKWEKWATSA(using excuses/fake reasons) to divert attention from real problems. Because i think that SOVEREIGNTY LAW may not even constitute 1% of the reasons the economy isn't doing great.
Things we prefer to hush-hush....We lose about 15% of our budget to CORRUPTION, annually. Actually put at over Shs 10 trillion out of a budget of Shs 84trillion. We spend another 54% of the GDP to debt servicing, which increases every day, to run our POLITICAL GOVERNANCE SYSTEM! So about Shs 40trillion is spent on POLITICS, PATRONAGE, SALARIES OF POLITICAL EMPLOYEES like the 600MPs...etc...
So how much is left for Production, investment, and social services?
Then you virtually import everything, from TPs to Mangoes, even Milk...to Drugs, to Toothpicks& .....
Man!!!!!
100 smiles in Bamutakudde. 200 feet in Shoes.
Today in Bamutakudde Model Village, we distributed 100 brand new pairs of shoes to our children some of whom had never owned a pair for school.
We also gave reusable sanitary wear to women & school girls to keep them in school with dignity.Huge thanks to Melissa Prandi Children Foundation for making this happen!
Oh the smiles on their faces was everything. My heart is full.
Our Village. Our Responsibility. Our Future. #BamutakuddeRising #Mukono
Why would the UCC arrest young men and women trying to make a living by operating small WiFi businesses? First, they buy data from providers who pay taxes, and they sell Internet to people who can't afford the expensive data bundles offered by telecoms. How is this helping digital integration? Do you have clear regulations for this mushrooming business? @UCC_Official
A retired SFC commando tears through the city’s criminal underworld to rescue his kidnapped son until he learns that his boy is safe at a sleepover and the kidnapped kid belongs to the neighbors he’s been feuding with for ten years.

No man should judge Moses.
Like every true legend, he lived his story and died in the line of duty. As men, part of our inherent battle in this life is to find beauty wherever we can, even in the midst of nowhere.
We are all fighting battles only we truly understand.
I regret to announce the tragic death of my friend and father of the Classic Band Music Director and founder of Afrigo Band, Mzee Moses Matovu, who was reportedly attacked by a gang in Kibuli last night while returning from work.
I strongly condemn this senseless act of violence. Uganda’s music industry has lost a true legend whose contribution to our culture and music will remain unforgettable. He was a giant of our music industry, and a talent we may never replace.
I appeal to our joint security agencies to do everything possible, as always, to identify, apprehend and bring to justice those responsible for this heinous act.
My heartfelt condolences go to Mzee Moses Matovu’s family, the entire Afrigo Band fraternity, his friends, colleagues, and all lovers of his music.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Rest well, Mzee Moses Matovu. Your music and legacy will live on.
