Excited to share my latest work in Australian Entomologist on the discovery of the host of Coriophagus casui, a #Strepsiptera from New Zealand, made possible through iNaturalist data!

Estoy muy feliz, acabo de describí una nueva especie de strepsiptero para México!!

This ginormous specimen, collected with @KayunL , is Megachile inermis. I collected a small series of these, all on Cirsium. I was hoping they'd be something I didn't already have, but they're still the largest Megachile I currently have. Look how long that vertex is!
This is M. tessellatus. It is super easy to ID because of its dulled scutum!
I'll be in Logan, UT from July 27-August 2 for some samples from their bee collection! If anyone will be around and wants to go collecting once or twice with @KayunL and I, you are more than welcome!
We're excited to announce a Call for Papers for an upcoming special issue of the Evolutionary Journal "Phylogenomic Discordance", co-hosted by @PKapli, based around the work of @zihengyang! Follow the link below to find out more 👇
