The UK government calls £50,271 a “high earner” in London for tax purposes. The UK housing market calls £50k “not enough for a mortgage deposit in London.”
Make it make sense.
'Minimum wage increases.'
I don't know how often it has to be said before you imbeciles get it; if your business can't afford to pay a liveable wage, you don't have a viable business. You have a business reliant on subsidy.
There needs to be a study on how UK weather slowly drains your motivation. Months of grey skies and my brain just switches off. I don’t want a holiday, I genuinely need one to survive
🚨 New billboard in Manchester, UK 🇬🇧
Clear. Bold. Unapologetic.
When people have to rent billboards to say what leaders won’t, that tells you everything.
Well done, Manchester.
Nowhere is the land of milk and honey but I think the reason the UK feels particularly painful atm is that there is an entire cohort of young people who were told that they could work hard and see their life improve and the government is working even harder to make that false.

The news will be full of discussion of a crime committed by an immigrant today, but how many people will analyse this?
The second racially aggravated rape I’ve heard of in as many months.
Reporting on crime is skewed, giving people a warped perception. It’s so dangerous.
no one talks about the personality shift as you get older. where you no longer want to be impressive, you want to be rested. you want to be regulated and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
The rape and abuse of a Sikh woman by two white men is a stark indication of where our country is heading. Media coverage is bare minimum. If two immigrants had done this to a white woman, headlines for days and days.
“We must all be able to debate freely and openly” is crazy coming from a man who arrested over 1.3k in a month for holding pieces of cardboard that said genocide is bad.

Apparently Iran cannot be trusted with powerful weapons. Which totally makes sense since they haven't attacked a single country in 300 years and Israel has attacked five in one year
