One positive trend we see in the improvement world is a shift towards making sustainability goals a priority in our quality improvement efforts. We're moving sustainability goals from a peripheral or secondary consideration to the heart of our improvement work. It should be a principle that we balance short term needs with the need to safeguard long term needs in every improvement project.
