in a world where you can go on booth and get models, backgrounds and assets for a debut for less than $100 and you choose to still use AI generated stuff for your stuff is really stupid. It's one thing to be tricked by it, its another to do it willingly
'Stop Killing Games' has failed to secure new EU legislation despite having 1.3 million signatures
The EU says it “cannot propose a legal obligation” requiring publishers to keep games playable after they stop being sold commercially
Since I am currently being IMPERSONATED AND DOXXED I want to let everyone know that I only have the following accounts:

If you hate indies on Steam for any AI use you're a hypocrite.
Steam uses AI for anything you see on the platform. If your anti AI standards are so strong that you'll harm an indie for asking questions to GPT, you should uninstall Steam in the first place.
atlassian cobraba a 350.000 clientes diferentes.
el señor que lo diseñó acaba de darte el mismo manual por cero dólares.

Tim Sweeney's disingenuousness never ceases to shock me.
This man talks of competition while him and Epic Games are actively committing anti-competition and anti-consumer practices. Singling out Steam for the 30% cut, something Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation do as well, it asinine... "bully developers" give me a break.
Valve co-founder Gabe Newell responded to accusations that Steam operates as a monopoly in the PC gaming market
Addressing the criticism, Newell said gamers have “plenty of options” when buying games.
According to him, players can choose from many digital stores, including rival platforms and stores run by game publishers themselves.
Valve says Steam’s success comes from a service that both gamers and developers willingly choose.
@ecutruin@CovenElf As an artist doesn't the fact it requires no effort for someone to copy your hard earned skill bother you? I've spent years learning 3d modeling and I'm still learning it but resorting to something that removes the struggle just seems dull to me, being able to build is the fun
@ecutruin@CovenElf My country has plenty of freedom 4 expression, but also protection of your work and expression, using others work to train a profitable tool isn't right as it diminishes their work and value, fair enough its an ethical point which is subject to individual respect is still needed
@ecutruin@CovenElf No you are right the us can pull it into fair use i was arguing with the berne convention but that does require the work to be registered under eu and then again shown to be an infringement of that so yes you are correct legally speaking there is no wrong done by us standards
@ecutruin@CovenElf On a side note I do want to say this is a fantastic discussion and debate on ai and law, and I am enjoying learning your perspective and reasoning, so thank you for this opportunity
While we may never see eye to eye I respect your stance
@ecutruin@CovenElf While the ruling applies to us copyright law, the works created aren't under us law, therefore they shouldn't be used, it's a case of repeating other countries laws, it should affect you the same way you'd repect law of any country you'd visit
@ecutruin@CovenElf Further more with the state the US is in, in regards to capitalism and for profit systems it's not a surprise that a court, ruled founded by a greedy government, rules in favor of allowing US companies the ability to make more money in an 'unethical' way
@ecutruin@CovenElf While that maybe true, the US idnt the only country on the planet other laws come into play and with the Internet being worldwide it's easy for US AI training where it's legal to be illegal in other countries hence why as a whole it should rely on the orginal artists rights
