Book one because it set the tone, but the big scene in The Butcher's Masquerade gave me feels.
Then Max Brooks' World War Z.
These are all greatly enhanced by amazing audio books.
@ZssBecker@MacroBombastic I started with The Heroes and went back to the beginning. It made rereading it so much better. Best Served Cold and Red Country are incredible, but they're nothing without the original trilogy. Finish that first.

I liked it. Its okay. I hate mary sue, garry stu characters that are invincible/perfect...Darrow is a big one of those.
I hear his next few books are better
@ZssBecker I use @LordGrimdark characters as inspiration for my d&d and larp characters. Glokta was fun to play as a crippled vampire.
