Privileged to have been a part of this engagement event alongside community members, researchers and funders. Led by @MarchantLabUCL, this work aims to develop a much-needed roadmap for inclusive research practices in dementia - already excited for findings! #InclusiveResearch24

Happy having received an award for the *Best Presentation* at a research grant symposium last week!😀 As part of the masters curriculum, we designed a proposal - ours was aimed at establishing a detailed trajectory for the recovery of memory function post-stroke🧠
Our last graded presentation of the Neuropsych masters! We presented Milo the mindful dog which is hoped to improve emotion regulation in children 🥺🐶 By interacting with & caring for Milo we hypothesised that children would learn how to respond more appropriately to emotions 🐶
Excited to have administered TMS today as part of my research elective, which is looking at stimulating deep brain structures typically involved with affective disorders (NAcc & STN)! I wonder if we'll see the day where TMS becomes regular clinical practice?? 🧠🙇🏾♂️
Delighted to be working on this project aimed at improving dementia care through self-experience. Please get in touch with [email protected] if you wish to participate or know someone who would like to take part!

Have you experienced any training that puts the student in the shoes of a person with dementia? If yes, and you are a person with dementia, a family carer or a dementia educator living in Ireland, we would love to hear from you @Hopper__Louise[email protected]@DCUPsychology
Enjoyed presenting some research on the neurobiological underpinnings of Auditory Verbal Hallucinations today with my colleague @chloecarrick_ ! Maybe some day we’ll get to present some of our own research findings together 😅
#RTEInvestigates Homelessness in Dublin. This documentary makes my heart heavy. It baffles me that the DRHE refuse people (who have no local connection to Dublin) access to emergency accommodation. How can this still be a reality for so many??
Today I conducted a sheep brain dissection as part of my Neuroanatomy skills practical. We particularly examined the hippocampus & basal ganglia 🧠 What a cool experience it is to inspect the brain’s structures in real life ✨#neuro#brain#neuropsych
