Spring is here and so are your seed options!
Whether you're seeding wheat, peas, oats, or barley this year Keating Seed Corp. has the varieties to match your land and your goals. Give Nolan a shout, he knows his seed and he knows what works in this part of the world.
Our seed varieties are available thanks to hard-working seed dealers across the Prairies!

Does anybody with a #neco dryer know how to change the “aggressiveness” on the dryer master. Has been over drying all day and is very slow to adjust to being up the discharge moisture.
Don’t forget about this one! AAC Walker VB which will be available in 2027 is looking like it’s going to be a game changer! Short straw, very good stand-ability, top notch disease package, and very high yield potential! @FPGenetics
What’s everyone using for farm record keeping? We have been using Farm at Hand, but have been disappointed with it lately as it’s not nearly as user friendly as it once was.
@BaldurBarons I would keep an eye on fan speed. Chromes definitely have a weaker seed coat compared to most. We always seed our same depth as cereals and have had good luck with that!
We were happy to have our own @NickBurla take part in a panel discussing growing legumes in Manitoba today! Lots of great info from all the panelists on growing these small acre niche crops!
@OOrsak@BantrySeedFarms The only real “all in one” that I know of is the Storm. Once you get it calibrated it is accurate within a percent or two, but metering on it is not legal for trade. The USC and KSI on trailers are nice, but they are clumsy and you need an auger or conveyor to feed them.
Thinking of trying something new this year? Have you ever thought of Black Beans? We still have Supply of CDC Blackstrap available! Give us a call to see if they are a good fit for you!
