Welp, as expected, Ukraine won. Space wolves ended in tenth, which is acceptable. I could be wrong, but I think we got one more point from the public than Sweden, at least.
I knew the juries would butcher our banana entry, but sheesh. This hurts, especially as a handful of songs that are pure copies of great hits are way ahead. I think that a top ten placement can be forgotten, let alone beating Sweden.
@quill18 The bookies have the UK in the top three this year. 'course, they rate the UK with a 11% chance of winning, while Ukraine gets 60%. I think BBC's budget next year remains safe.
Though I grudgingly accept Ukraine will likely win #Eurovision tonight (and I positively loathe the song because rap), I still have hopes our silly banana wolves will get a decent placing by the audience. The jury will butcher us, of course. Leaning towards voting for Moldova.
@quill18 Best as I recall its intro sequence on Tuesday, it's a tribute to Italian ingenuity, and named 'Leo'. Poor daVinci. This is one of the honors I think he'd be fine with passing on to Michelangelo.
@Grizzly_Adamn@Warcraft I started with a mage, and still kept the hearthstone. So useful to reach quest hubs and other locations that don't get portals. Heck, I keep the garrison and (new) Dalaran hearthstones on all my charas too. Mobility is always nice.
@Cringer63 PopTop Software made RRT2 and RRT3; they were bought by Take Two Interactive (now 2K Games), and what was left of PopTop was integrated into Firaxis Games. So, if an RRT4 is to happen, I assume 2K Games / Firaxis is whom we should petition.
@StellarisGame Well, there was that *one* time where they survived the initial war and flipped to a democratic crusader ideology immediately afterwards. However, given their neighborhood in that game, it didn't work out much better for them in the long run.
When I paid an extra $20 for home delivery, and was requested to stay at home from 8 AM to 17 PM to receive delivery, and informed they'd call first (they didn't), I'd at least wish they gave me more than ten seconds to get to the door (driver was back in their car by fifteen).
@PdxInteractive An American gaming buddy of mine had bought a German copy of EU1 (this was before the more global release) and highly recommended it. Once the Scandinavian build hit the market, I got one. To this day, EU1 is the only game I know that has a Norwegian voice-over localization. <3
As important as insects are to the biosphere, I wish they wouldn't get so up close and personal at times. The cat left me with two ticks crawling on my arm. Still less creepy than the spider that parachuted into my eye once, or that one day I woke up in a veritable ant colony.
BigBlueBlob attempt #1 failed; we got to 97 provinces. The last three were still coring, and would've needed another six months. We'll continue attempt #2 tomorrow; off to a good start so far, with Maine surrendered, Burgundy allied and Brunswick in charge of the HRE in 1445. :-p
Note to self; take things at face value and be happy about them, rather than make guesswork that diminishes said face value to almost nothing and be depressed. With that in mind - today was another good day. Really enjoying my EU4 run - if only we could have ONE heir live. :-p
Have been having a lot of fun replaying C&C Remastered. The final 'boom' of the NOD campaign remains the highlight for me. I think we'll switch to EU4 tomorrow (for the new DLC), though, and return to C&C/Red Alert later this summer.
