So it seems most realistic that the republicans are attempting to cover it up until after August 3rd because if they announce the death they have to hold a special election to replace him before November

Honestly at this point I think @GovAndyBeshear should file the paperwork for a special election.

If Republicans want to take it to court that’s fine.

Force their hand.

I have no idea what the law says, but Governor Beshear should just call the special election anyway and force Republicans to show some proof of life for McConnell. That’s what they would do in the same situation.
