Totally ignoring impact of freezing tax allowances. Lower earners are paying tax on a much larger proportion of their income. They are worse off

The most regressive tax is VAT, the poor pay the same rate as the rich. Tax cuts were funded by widening the VAT net. Taxation needs complete reform with fairness the driving factor
