SOME THINGS YOU HAVE TO CARRY
Those who carried the structure and coverings for the Tabernacle were given oxen and carts to assist in their labor. The sons of Kohath, who were tasked to carry the holy objects, were not. They were to carry the Ark, Table, Altar, and all other objects on their shoulders.
What does this speak to us today? The maintenance, media, and marketing of the church can be outsourced or done by anyone who is willing. The leading of worship, preaching of God’s Word, and altar ministry cannot. It must be done with diligence and care.
Be careful you don’t treat the holy things with the same business-like approach as the other elements of the service. Keep what is holy and sacred as a personal responsibility. Ensure personally that the anointing is present and handled with care. This is the “weight” the NT priest must carry.
”But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because they were charged with the service of the holy things that had to be carried on the shoulder.“ Numbers 7:9 ESV
My grandson had a great question... What do you do when you keep falling into sin? Here's my answer 🗣️
My answer is simple... basically... KEEP IT MOVING
All correction can be dismissed by finding fault in the corrector. Instead, we should look for what is being said and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal if it is applicable. If so, immediately repent!
Enemies of RELATIONAL RECONCILATION:
1. Pride- too much has happened for me to ever let go.
2. Fear- if I reconcile, I might get hurt again.
3. Passivity- at this point, I don’t really care.
4. Denial- why can’t we just act like nothing happened and move on?
3 Strategies for RELATIONAL RECONCILIATION:
1. PRAY and ask the Lord to show you your part.
2. OWN what you did wrong.
3. Give GRACE to others knowing you need it yourself.
