Among others we have also agreed to fund a project in @KeelePsychology led by Dr Sarah Laurence. The project is co-funded from an external ESRC grant & has been allocated for next financial year to support Sarah as she returns to her research from maternity leave #positveaction
Faculty also aims to support Early Career researchers so have funded a @KeeleLifeSci Scholarship to support a project working closely with researchers in @LancasterUni as well as our own Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences on therapeutic strategies for neural repair.
A new policing project being coordinated by Keele's @CliffordStott is set to help the way that football matches are policed and stewarded. #ENABLE

@EmHaz_KeelePsy @KeeleUniversity Hi Emma, its still evolving presently but is built around a series of emergent themes. These will be discussed at a forthcoming University Research Committee and released shortly afterwards.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences @KeeleUniversity is developing a new strategic approach to funding Research Development. This financial year we are supporting several key project all aiming to pursue major interdisciplinary collaborations & funding streams.
Another exciting Scholarship has been funded in @KeeleGGE. It is set to help understand how land & communities respond to summer wildfires. With global warming intensifying such threats are ever increasing & this project with key external partners will help build resilience.
Among several new projects one is led by a team of researchers in @KeeleLifeSci & CPS who are developing groundbreaking research on carbohydrates. The studentship has strong external collaborations and a model of co-funding between Faculty, School & Industry.
A key part of our new Strategic approach to Faculty funding has been the redesign of how we will be funding Post-Graduate research. The new Faculty Scholarships were launched in September and a series of innovative projects have been funded for this year.
In the School of Chemical & Physical Sciences a part of the strategy is to develop interdisciplinary research on 'materials'. This cross cutting strategic theme is vitally important for our sustainability agenda & the investment increases capacity to attract major grant funding.
Another of our RDF projects is a new Centre for Food Security. Its aim is to promote interdisciplinary cross Faculty working & encourage external collaborations that will grow our capacity in this important area of sustainability, inclusion and global health related research.
One of our funded projects is led by Prof Zoe Robinson in @KeeleGGE working with @KeeleSCM around our Smart Energy Network Demonstrator to understand methods for developing energy literacy. The aim is to use this as pilot work for a major grant application.
Many recent @KeelePsychology MSc graduates have gone on to pursue careers in psychology, either through PhDs or through work as research assistants or in clinical contexts.
