Some prominent left-wing voices started life in the right-wing press, digging dirt, possibly hacking phones. It doesn’t mean they can’t condemn wrongdoing, but they do need to acknowledge how they climbed the greasy pole rather than hoping no one remembers

Saw Mission Impossible. “Wow - progressive casting, I want to see this” quickly became “why do all the women look and sound the same? Where are the ones I was expecting?” ie Rebecca Ferguson the singer in her acting debut and Hayley Squires, not Hayley Atwell. So naive of me.

@nickw84 @Beigemania Although I admire the attitude in some instances! The TV industry fetishises "access" but sometimes there's enough in archive and other material to tell a cracking story and the audience doesn't even care or notice
