Four more people have been fined for dumping their waste on the streets of Bury.

Fixed penalty notices of £400 were served on three of them for offences of fly-tipping, and a fourth person was fined £75 for littering. More below:

This morning's FGRS litter pick at Roch Valley Greenway 🚮

12 volunteers and 27 bags 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 along with a few loose items and a shopping trolley 🛒

18 wonderful volunteers came out to help Piggy Lane get back to it's former glory 🥰

We did litter picking 🚮 dragging out chicken wire & other dumped items, & some cutting back 🍃

We filled a skip, kindly donated by ABBEY SKIP HIRE LTD, and 19 bags

A litter pick with students of Fairfield County Primary School after school today. They were joined by parents, teachers and Trevor the governor, and filled 10 bags! 💚

The hospice path or Piggy Lane needs a three pronged attack:

1. Cutting back and a dead hedge making

2. Litter picking

3. Dragging out the wire fencing, glass sheets and decking boards

We just want to give a massive shout out to Roger, the boss at Beechfield Brands, who leads by example and gets totally stuck in at our picks 🤩🚮💪🏼

A phenomenal effort clearing this hideous mess from the path at the back of Tesco, as well as two full bags of cans 🙌🏼👏🏼💚
