Fair point, and if it’s something that someone really feels strongly about, protest however you want. This just isn’t a new conflict and the issue is nuanced, not black and white. Just feels like the popular sentiment now is to make it seem like a simple one sided issue, when it isn’t.
They were neutral for the holocaust. So yes in terms of genocide as well. It’s all performative. None of them are freeing anyone. Both sides are useless, and neither cares about the innocent people dying. So keep saying “fuck Jews” and waving Palestinian flags like it makes a difference.
@ItsDeanBlundell You gotta be more tuned in to every single players political leanings if they matter so much to your hockey fandom. Nothing new about this.
@NickyPerks Yeah but people are gonna start talking about circadian rhythm and say that kids are all of sudden going to start getting hit by cars left and right. You wonder how Northern European cities have survived all these years with late sunrises.
@MurphysLaw74 I don’t disagree it’s dumb. I just think the narrative has gone way past reality. If the orange man wasn’t in charge, the outrage would be a lot less. Maybe focus on their disrespect of LGBTQ in Seattle. The “fuck everything America does” thing has just gotten old.
@bruce_arthur Their camp in Mexico was 300 miles closer to both stadiums they played in than the one they planned for in Arizona. None of the calls were wrong. Sucks for them they didn’t move on, but that’s life.
@Sweenius They had Bussi, they have DiPietro, they have the Czech kid. No chance this kid ever sniffs a chance for the Bruins, just like all the ones I just listed. Pointless pick.
@isabellasg3 Call was right. 2 out of the 3 games were a short car ride from Tijuana. Having to fly to a game and then back the same night is something American sports teams do all the time in the playoffs. Their planned American base was further away than Tijuana was to their games.
@coinerkurt@FriedgeHNIC Your beating a dead horse with Quebec City. The NHL is after the largest tv markets, not a smaller rabid fan base. Theres a reason they keep pushing for Atlanta and Phoenix too when seemingly no one really cared about them there.
@FOXSoccer Do you guys tell your announcers to pronounce every team name in Spanish regardless of the country? Saying Uruguay in Spanish is fine, but It’s either cape vurd, or say its actual name in a Portuguese accent. Either way it’s not “vehr-day,”
@Big12Pokes The time is fine, but there was a better way to schedule today’s games to maximize viewing time in the home countries that are playing. Scotland early, then turkey, then the late two games can be USA/Brazil games. Would avoid 3-5am starts for turkey and Australia
@undisputed104 World Cup is a great product. Unless you’re getting up early every weekend to watch European soccer, MLS is a tough thing to follow. Most supporters care more about social justice than actual results on the field. And they sing ripped off songs that aren’t organic.
