The story of computing is written in its artifacts, in the organizations in which they were forged, and expecially in the people who shaped them.

To inform my understanding of the stories of computing, I have studied several thousand books, here organized according the places where computing and the human experience intersect.

I've been building a few more workflows and was playing with the az. All kinds of performance issues.

While testing got frustrated by how slow az is on #GitHub Actions and #Azure Pipelines hosted runners on Windows. So, I've been digging into why.

@oracle2025 I like the distinction Fowler makes. Sociable vs isolated unit tests at least in discussions. Both types have their use cases : https://t.co/bLUJuGcqTT also

I just donated to @AnimalsAsia to help save bears from the agony of bile farming. Will you help Animals Asia rescue and rehabilitate more abused bears? https://t.co/iKSEsHsQOP

@CondorCares As I mentioned I already tried calling and I was calling that number, they are not helpfull and say nothing can be done. Also we don't need to discuss personal data,so there is no problem with data security. Please help me get into contact with someone who can help and is willing

[Kees Dijk @KeesDijk]

@CondorCares Last week I tried to book a flight but payment failed. Money was withdrawn (bank checked) but the flight was cancelled at the same time. I have been trying to call\mail ([email protected])\whatsapp and getting nowwhere. So far the worst customer service. Can you do more?

Tech conference speakers, as a rough percentage how often do you get paid to speak? Not just costs covered, but actually being paid to give your talk

Also from those paid experiences, how many were not keynotes?

Where in Amsterdam should we go party tonight?

[Kees Dijk @KeesDijk]

@Rene_Wiersma I don't think there is any use case more for the classic singleton pattern. It can all be done as a pretty normal class (take care of multi threading) configured in ioc container as a singleton. Better testability and easier when it turns out you do need more than one instance.

Onderaan je QR-code zie je poppetjes schaatsen en sleeën. Als je daarop tikt gaan ze de andere kant op en dat is om te controleren of de QR-code echt is of dat er een filmpje wordt afgespeeld. #wistiknogniet
