If Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is truly unwell, denying him access to a doctor brought by his family is cruel, unnecessary and dangerous.

No citizen should be treated this way in custody. If the ICPC has a case, let the law take its course. But medical care is not a favour. It is a basic right.

Allow his doctor to see him.

Respect due process.

Release El-Rufai if there is no lawful reason to keep holding him.
