@TylerBellPhD This doesn’t change the fact that postdoc (and doctoral) salaries are terrible and usually impossible to live on, but if it helps you can get your student loans deferred while doing a postdoc. You can also ask for forbearance if you really can’t pay. I second NIH LRP as well!

I think I probably studied (inconsistently) for ~9 weeks at the end of my first year of a research postdoc (I took the exam late August ‘21). And then received my license Nov ‘21. So about 1.5 years between grad (Jun ‘20) and licensure.

@elana_gloger I also would say check out the clearance racks at Macys. You can sometimes get great designer items for a steal. Costco also sometimes has nice stretchy business casual tops (blouses, cardigans) and slacks. 👍🏾
