My precious... I wanna side with him so badly, but I just can’t get behind his ideology. Hugo lived such a fucked up life. A genuinely talented kid, treated like garbage by his own family. All that cruelty twisted him into the man he became. I still don’t know the full picture, but I can’t bring myself to see him as a straight up villain. He’s tragic. Really tragic.
The way he begs the twins to look after Vivian, who’s basically a little sister to him.. hits different. He knows it would destroy her to see the kind of person he’s turning into from here on out. He doesn’t want her watching him spiral deeper. It’s heartbreaking how much he still tries to protect her innocence even as he hardens himself. Hugo wants to climb higher in society so he can tear down the people and systems responsible for making the world this rotten and he’ll make any sacrifice necessary, including his own humanity. He’ll kill if he has to. He can’t stop himself anymore.
Deep down, I think he knew he needed someone to put an end to it before the bloodshed swallowed him completely. And of course… it had to be Lycaon. Their old bond, their clashing ideals, everything led to that confrontation.
What a quest, man. It genuinely broke me.
Everything about this outfit is just perfect, the way he stood and oh lord HEELS?! My god he’s wearing HEELS 😭😭 I would pay for Hernando to get fucked in heels, leaning against the wall while trying to balance everything on that tray🥹Every thrust would be a challenge for him😔
