An update on my cousin. His surgeries were successful, the second one being a day later than expected, and after a long stay in the ICU, was moved to a regular room, then was moved to a rehab branch of the hospital. He improved enough that recently he was able to return home! 1/2

Nooo… Sam Neill died at the age of 78. He was a great actor. I enjoyed seeing him in Jurassic Park/World and an underrated show called Alcatraz. He will be missed. RIP.

Menards has Halloween stuff out already. It’s way too early! Usually they don’t put that stuff out until September 1st. Never in July. I don’t want to see Halloween in the middle of summer. I suppose I’ll see Christmas in August.

He’s been having a really hard time in the hospital, as you can imagine, and is at high risk of pneumonia. He had a successful surgery yesterday, but needs another one tomorrow. I’m getting updates from his wife through Caring Bridge. Please pray for him. His name is Kevin. (2/2)

I received word that this past Monday my cousin had an 800 lb steel wall fall on him at work, which caused fractures from his neck all the way down his spine and lower back, right clavicle, and most of his ribs front and back, and his lungs collapsed. (1/2)

Wow, the Celtics are trading Jaylen Brown to the 76ers for Paul George, two 1st round picks, and two 2nd round picks. Another blockbuster. I think this trade makes the 76ers a legitimate contender in the East.

LeBron James will not be returning to the Lakers for this upcoming season. It will be interesting to see where he goes. Does he return home, or does he add a 4th team to his NBA career? I saw the Wizards as a rumor, because of AD. He so badly wants to be like Mike.

Kawhi Leonard is getting traded back to the Raptors. They are giving up a lot for another one-year rental. I don’t think they’re talented enough to compete this time around.

I tried my hand at photoshopping a player photo to match his new team, and I think I did a good job.

My thoughts and prayers are with Chris Johnson and his family. It’s awful to hear about his ALS diagnosis, with very rapid and aggressive symptoms.

What Terrion Arnold allegedly did is very disturbing. The Lions made the right decision in releasing him today, and distancing themselves from him. He destroyed his career and life with his actions.

This is a depressing day to be a Minnesota Timberwolves fan.

The Timberwolves like trading for some of my least favorite players in the league. They did so with Gobert, and now gave up a haul for LaMelo Ball, including giving up fan-favorite Naz Reid. Proof that this team will never be a true contender. My last sliver of hope is gone.

I don’t understand why the NBA continues to refuse to fix how draft trades are handled. It makes no sense handing the hat of the wrong team to a newly drafted player. The NFL doesn’t have this problem. The NBA seems fine with looking like fools.

I hope the Timberwolves have something up their sleeve, some sort of big move that could allow them to be a real contender, but I don’t know what they could possibly do. As disappointing as Randle was, the Wolves are currently a worse team than they were two days ago.

The Greek Freak saga is finally over. Giannis is taking his talents to Miami. As currently constructed, the Heat are still not a contender. I thought the Celtics offer was better, but the Bucks thought otherwise.

Julius Randle was so bad in the playoffs, that the Timberwolves are trading him and the No. 28 pick to the Nets for the No. 33 pick. Literally taking a worse draft position to get rid of his contract. At least that allowed them to re-sign Ayo Dosunmu.
