I run Hermes agents 24/7 to monitor financial markets while I sleep.

Here's the exact playbook (copy me):

Step 1. Define what you're actually monitoring

Before deploying anything, get specific.

Bad: "Watch the market"

Good: "Alert me if BTC breaks below $58K, if funding rates flip negative, or if any of my watchlist tickers move 5%+ in an hour"

Step 2. Deploy parallel Hermes agents

Spin up 4-5 agents, each with one job:

Agent 1: Monitor price action and alert on key level breaks

Agent 2: Track funding rates and open interest shifts

Agent 3: Scan X sentiment for your watchlist tickers

Agent 4: Monitor news and macro events (Fed announcements, CPI prints, etc.)

Agent 5: Track on-chain flows (whale wallets, exchange inflows/outflows)

Each runs independently, around the clock.

Step 3. Set your alert thresholds

Tell each agent exactly when to ping you:

"Alert me immediately if [condition]. Otherwise, log the data and stay silent."

This is critical. Without thresholds, you'll get flooded with noise.

Step 4. Route alerts to one place

Connect Hermes to Discord, Slack, or Telegram so every alert lands in a single feed.

Just tell Hermes: "Connect to [x]."

Some additional tips:

• Be specific about where you source financial data from (TradingView, APIs, MCPs, etc)
• You can create a finance second-brain database using Obsidian to learn your preferences over time
• Connect Hermes directly to X for news, financial research & more (best source for financial data imo)
