Dude, you wander over into the comments on an Arkansas media guy’s post and start talking trash about our team. You beat us fair and square. Be happy for your players. They’re having a great season and now you get to host a super. Just enjoy the fact that for the first time in 35 years you beat the Hogs in a post season sporting event
@DrLoafCFB@Jacksuhhhhn@NWAHutch We had a down year but we did have the resume to host. I remember eliminating you from the SEC tournament less than two weeks ago. Y’all have a great pitching staff. Good luck against Ole Miss
@Jacksuhhhhn@NWAHutch I guess you’re new to baseballl. You won 5-3. Y’all made plays in the 7th and 8th inning and we didn’t. Credit to your players. But you do realize if 3-4 plays go the other way in that game and you’re sitting at home right now.
@Jacksuhhhhn@NWAHutch The point is Arkansas had a disappointing year and were done early. You had your best season in at least 30 years. Maybe spend your time being excited about doing things you’ve never done before. Congrats on making the supers
People who don’t have children should politely remove themselves from this conversation. My 16 year old twin sons were very rarely spanked. They generally didn’t need it. But there are absolutely times when they’re 3-6 years old that you absolutely have to swat them to get their attention. And for boys it is doubly important. They need to understand that violence comes with consequences. Boys are born sociopaths and it is their father’s controlled discipline that shapes them into civilized men
@BWLH_@vicious155 I went to Fayetteville a little bit before Matt. But I lived up there when he was playing. I used to love watching him play. He was a helluva basketball player too. https://t.co/DKlT1RsI7I
@TonerousHyus What do you think the final percentages will be? Dallas and Travis counties are both still only reporting in the low 50 percentile range? Will it finish closer to 60% than 65%?
@shipwreckedcrew Arkansan here. Bill Clinton was not hated in Arkansas when he ran for president. He was reelected in 1990 by a 15% margin. He won Arkansas in 1992 and 96.
@DonbasDIY@KeenanPeachy@LA_DOTr Apparently reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. Where did I say anything about Spencer Pratt? The current leadership in LA is so bad that anyone replacing them can’t be worse. That’s not an endorsement of Pratt. That’s a denunciation of the current leadership
@DonbasDIY@KeenanPeachy@LA_DOTr Look at who is in charge of the city right now. It is basically impossible for anyone to be less competent or more corrupt than the current leadership
Counter proposal: pay them nothing but allow them to pay staff an order of magnitude more. The elected officials are important, but the people they hire do the actual work. If only the wealthy run for office we’ll immediately improve the caliber of our elected officials. And if we pay their staff private sector wages we’ll actually have people that are right wing and competent serving inside the government
I have an enormous amount of curiosity and adventure seeking in me. I love travel. I love new cities, counties, experiences… I have been to 25 countries and 45 US states. If I was single and childless I’d travel a lot more than I do. but I love my woman and kids more than I love travel.
Most of these people flying off to some new exciting place every other month are trying to fill a void in their lives. If they were married and had some kids they’d travel a lot less, but they’d be fulfilled in a way they can’t imagine. When they’re 65 and having a “Friendsgiving” party instead of Thanksgiving with the children and grandchildren they don’t have they’ll regret prioritizing travel like this
@TonerousHyus@SojuConnoisseur I’m from Little Rock so the problems in Memphis and NOLA are something I’m used to. I enjoy both cities. But Detroit felt like I was living in an episode of the Walking Dead
@TonerousHyus@SojuConnoisseur Places like NOLA or Memphis have some interesting residents and history. Large portions of Detroit are like going on a tour of ancient ruins. Outside of downtown there was almost no one in the whole city
