Calling all of the 2022 leavers - we are putting together a KGS Survival Manual for current and future pupils and would love to get some tips from you. Click on the link to take you to the MS Form - thank you in advance 😁 https://t.co/YgzKcmum9Y
As part of our journey to the silver RRSA the staff at KGS will focus on teaching our young people about articles 2, 13, 15, 17, 27 and 29. We encourage parents and carers to find out more about these too and to have discussions at home. #RRSA
The pupil steering group have put together a noticeboard to advertise all of the club's/groups/activities that KGS has to offer. Come down to PE, take a look and try something new. #article15#rightsofthechild#rightsrespectingschools
1/2 Change to service: Moray Food Plus is experiencing a significant increase in demand for food support resulting in delays processing referrals, normal processing times do not currently apply and we can no longer guarantee same day delivery.
Worth remembering that the cost of food and essentials is significantly higher in rural areas, and that the price of fuel and availability of public transport prohibits regular town centre shopping to access supermarket own brands.
'Breathing for relaxation and focus' sessions are available for S4-6 folks in the first week of term in January. Rhoda Bain will lead these. Students may sign up using the link in Check In Teams or the QR code here... #wellbeing#mentalhealth
S1-3 pupil steering group - please come along to room 15 at 12.40 on Thursday for our last meeting before the holidays. We'll update our RRS noticeboard and make a plan for the new year. See you there 👍
Our senior leadership class have been taking inventory of donations to @MorayFoodPlus Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal 2021. We are collecting until next Friday - please donate what you can to the school reception, or pupils to the box outside of the hall. Thanks
Well, that was not the weekend we had planned! However, we do plan to be open tomorrow for staff and pupils and look forward to being able to safely greet everyone in the warmth of KGS, all being well.
🌍 Scotland is a welcoming country - but the Tory 'hostile environment' policies are failing us all.
📣 @NicolaSturgeon: "Those seeking refuge are human beings. They are driven out of desperation into boats crossing the Channel, and by a lack of humanitarian alternative routes."
Next week's articles of the week will be: article 2 (non-discrimination) and article 23 (disability). Help us to celebrate #internationaldayofpeoplewithdisabilities on 3rd December.
We are running low of tinned meat - any donations would be appreciated. Drop off points include Asda, Lidl in Elgin and Forres, Tesco in Elgin, Forres and Keith, Poundland, some Co-op stores, ReBoot in Forres, and Forres, Elgin & Buckie police stations. THANK YOU!
