@MancBastard1880@Brightonian_ Of course we would, but in reality how many of the 92 professional teams in England can realistically expect to win the PL now?
It comes down to finances - so historically smaller teams need to build over a long period to grow fan base/revenue to become more competitive.
@BritbredToon@Brightonian_ To build the stadium after our previous owner asset stripped us and we nearly went out of business. BHA is a very well run, sustainable business. I really struggle to understand why so many football fans can’t grasp that. A business needs to make money - it’s not rocket science
@Redevils20Times@Brightonian_ Thanks, but that’s gradually changing.
We’ve a bigger/deeper squad now and are coping well without:
Mitoma
Minteh
Hinshelwood
Ferguson (jury out on him though)
Weiffer
Tzimas
Plus some others.
@iancr65@Brightonian_ Yes, and what about our previous owner stripping the club and selling the ground. At least Bloom is a genuine fan - stability. Better than Ashley and the Saudis. If you can’t see the progress we’ve made over the last 15 years you’re an idiot.
@JimmySaint1i@Brightonian_ That’s not the plan. TB is now aiming to win stuff (cups are the only realistic target unless things seriously change). Yes you have Saudi money, but before that you were just bouncing around the PL and Championship. It’s a pathetic thing so many uninformed people say about us
@_C_1_9 Wow, talk about delusion.
Only a r*tard would think that TB doesn’t have ambition. However, those r*tards are too thick to realise that’s it’s a journey. CURRENT ambition is to be top 10 and regular qual for Europe. IMO, that’s not his aim for 5-10 years time.
@Lord_Sugar What the hell are you talking about!
All of the establishment (the snouts in the trough a***holes) were remain.
The CBI was remain.
The unions were remain.
The media were remain.
The BOE was remain.
Yet, the vote was leave because people voted against the tories.
Yeah, right!
@orpean6771@ryanadsett Doh, I know.
But he can still run it down if he wants to.
Jeez, it ain’t that complicated.
Some people need to understand how contracts work.
@orpean6771@ryanadsett We can only sell him if he agrees to sign a contract with a new club.
If he wants to run down his contract to get a big singing on bonus, nothing we can do.
@Brightonfan Yes he is.
But, if he won’t sign extension nor agree to sign for someone else until next summer and get a big signing bonus, what should the club do?
If Yasin wants to run down his contract, leave for free next summer, please explain what the club co do to stop him.
@Brightonian_ If I remember correctly, you were also questioning the club at times and had turned off comments on some of your posts.
Some of us however, have been more trusting 😜
@BrightonBuzzz I’ve never doubted Bloom/Barber. Kept calling others out for their knee-jerk reaction to stuff.
Their track record deserves a lot more respect than many have demonstrated over the last few weeks IMO.
So many were quick to criticise.
No one can ever doubt the ambition of TB
@LemmyG10 Both highly rated young players.
Yet so many have moaned all summer about our business.
If we get both of these over the line, it’ll be a great window IMO.
@ryanadsett Wow, some of our fans can be real pricks can’t they.
Maybe the semantics of the English language isn’t obvious to him, but it’s clear what he meant. I get it - you’re upset as we lost, but look at net spend over the years and then comment. Jeez!
@AJWood16 Amazing how all these X pundits can spend so much of someone else’s money eh! IMO, considering the players out, we did OK. Some silly goals/mistakes, but to put them under so much pressure and get so close, very encouraging.
@olyftbl We (BHA) like to introduce players slowly. It’s not a reflection on Kostouas and many fans are excited to see hoe he progresses.
We don’t put them under pressure to perform as soon as we sign them.
Also, he needed to improve his work-rate last season, and that appears better now
@NBA_BIGSLIME@KieranMaguire@valuball Says a Yank with zero understanding of how premier league really works. Ooh, look at me - I support a big club with huge revenues.
@BrettLodge1@KieranMaguire@valuball The reason for that was a previous owner who sold our ground & made us homeless. Very close to going extinct
We know TB has been great for us, & most fans realise that.
However, even after all that trading, we’ve a more valuable squad now so BHA is more valuable as a business.
