The Dogs finished 18th today at the IHSAA State Meet.

Really proud of how this group stuck together and stayed resilient all season. We came into the year preseason ranked 14th, with a goal of finishing in the Top 10 at State. A few weeks in, things shifted and the focus became about simply finding a way to get there. This week, we talked about finishing in the Top 18 and running a race they were proud of. Mission accomplished.

The boys cross country team finished as DAC runner-ups today-shorthanded, but giving a fantastic effort to hold on to 2nd in one of the state’s toughest conferences. Couldn’t be prouder of the effort they showed going after the win despite the heat and limited lineup.

A big shoutout to our JV squad, who pulled off the DAC title this morning on a tiebreaker and battled through tough conditions with several runners finishing their seasons with PRs.

Thanks to everyone who played a role in this season: it’s been a great one. There’s been some adversity, but these guys have stayed positive, kept working, and represented CPXC the right way. On to the post-season!

Breakthrough day for the Dogs at Brownsburg. Jackson Zona slashed 30 seconds off his best to clock 16:04. Evan Kearns joined the sub-17 club with a 16:50, and freshman Owen Dorin made his mark, breaking 18 for the first time at 17:25. JV battled for 4th with PRs up and down the lineup.
