@dnvr_is_burning@MountainViking1 Downtown Denver absolutely 'peaked' in May 2014. Union Station had just re-opened along with the adjacent offices and restaurants. Concurrently transients etc. were moving here not because of Cannabis but because of the permissiveness its legalization signaled. And so it went.
@mountainwesttax 2) Their content is pretty graphic. But there are smaller things too. For a while Denver managed to summon 1990 New York City vibes and there were squeegee men! The condo I had (luckily I sold it end of 2023) in LoDo has had plywood on its doors for almost 4 years now. Also 💩
@LoDoDistrict@denverlibrary I owned a place in Acme lofts (the residential building that took over this space from 1993 on) up until a year ago and I shared this pic with an old neighbor. Is there more info / access on the original photo to be had from the Library? Thanks so much :-D
@kylascan If you angled it right (like closer to Denver Beer Co) you’d have caught VFCorp too. The true synergy of *dubious medical procedures* and “we love the environment and so does The North Face but please ignore our *entire fleet of Dassault jets parked at centennial airport* “
