Meaningful child participation begins with creating spaces where children are heard, respected and taken seriously. As part of a visit to the State Department for Children Services by a team from the Government Delivery Unit, led by Mr. Olando Sitati, the Principal Secretary for Children Services, CPA Carren Ageng'o, together with technical officers led by Director Patrick Hoyd Isadia, engaged Ms. Tamara Ramah, a Child Advocate, to hear directly from a child on the issues affecting children today.

With courage and clarity, Tamara shared her perspectives and highlighted key issues affecting children, demonstrating the value of giving children a meaningful voice in decisions that concern their lives and futures.

Her contribution was a powerful reminder that children are not merely beneficiaries of policies and services. They are important partners in shaping solutions that affect their lives and future.

The State Department for Children Services remains committed to strengthening meaningful child participation and ensuring that children's voices inform policies, programmes and decisions affecting their rights, protection and wellbeing.
