I am a man of faith, the Husband of Donna and the Father of Zoe and Zach. I'm a SQL Server Enterise DBA during the day and the owner of my business by night.
Listening to a organizational meeting with groups around the country.
I cant exagerate how excruciating it is to hear people read a script to us verses the limited number of people who spoke naturally.
I promise to never read a script even if I somehow had 40,000 people!
Approvals. I really don't enjoy paperwork. Today I had to stop the presses on two different deployments due to paperwork at Google and Microsoft. The MCPatrol Android app I was speaking of had one darling little secret, it was portable to Azure, so it's coming to the web too!
One of the wierdest things about establishing a company is writing to twitter knowing I have no followers. I guess you could say I am hoping "if you build it, they will come."
I think i have figured out what I like the most about software development. Creation. Its not like i am trying to play God, no, may that nevee be! Its like God gives you a taste of His creativity and you fall in Love all over again with the Creator.
Tonight was intense testing for a few different things I am getting ready. To top it off i got my Azure small business approved for their startups program!
I have spent an enormous amount of time testing a new user interface called DetentShell. Today I start training a new GUI testing tool. I'm really excited to see how well it does!
Today I'm learning that managing websites is NOWHERE near as easy as it was in the late 1990s. I've screwed up both my DNS host and my search stuff on googles platform every time. There are so many little settings and switches and instruction sets. Its easy to get confused.
Today I spent five hours testing and testing and testing. For context this is my "day off".
At the end of the day... I am just dreaming of the day you all get to use the software!
A few months back I started to get an itch that just had to be scratched. I began developing PowerShell modules afterwork and honestly, it was fun. I've created many modules, but these modules were different, these were passion projects, no Jira tickets, no boss's approval!
Starting out. I have started my own business this year and honestly, it's a bit frightening and yet exhilarating.
I'm going to try to walk through my journey and have a presence online for me personally (https://t.co/uexNoW9Yoe) and my company (https://t.co/GVV2nR13Tf). Fun!
