@_ImQToMost I don’t disagree with that. But I’m looking at what’s going on now that is perpetrating what happened before. Black people systematically have been and are being encouraged to not want to work towards family.
@_ImQToMost I mispoke. Not even necessarily from slavery but shortly after. Around time of the establishment freedmen’s bureau. Those things encouraged the woman to want to be the prototypical “independent black woman who don’t need no man.”
@_ImQToMost I’m not saying there’s not a big difference between those two. I’m just saying how things have carried over from slavery and how our culture is being manipulated to think. Some things work towards the advancement of a people and some things don’t.
@_ImQToMost I mean as basic as you want to make it it’s not effective for women to take on these taxing workloads like men. But, in our community we were at one point forced to have our women work like that which was detrimental to us. Now some women brag about it…
