@DennisDill I work in a 1:1 district. I charge my laptop at home every night and there is no way to expect a device to retain a charge for 7.5 hours of a school day.

"Black Reconstruction in America" is an informative book by Du Bois. Really teaches how slavery varied regionally and how African-Americans wanted to be a part of the American Dream. Yet, the same fears that deny African-Americans today are the same ones that denied them then.

It rattles me every time I go to take attendance I see the name of one of my former students from my first year teaching. That class I told them their first election to vote would most likely be this one and it would be an important one on so many levels.
