@Adam_Stirling Let's put it this way. Staff time, like grant funding, is a scarce resource. Small potential administrative discrepancies that can be dealt with by committee/council don't need to go back and take up staff time.

@Adam_Stirling I can, but, I don't need to fill staff time with these kind of requests, nor am I in the office to deal with these requests at this time.

The report was reasonable, the funding requests are reasonable, and mbrs of our committee did a great job weighing policy to 💰 requests.

1) it was overlooked
2) b/c it was previously funded through golf tourney, so kept for continuity.
3) staff didn't limit based off of policy, that was for the Committee & council to decide.

Sadly these charities would be a priority, but were against the nature of the policy.

Transportation is one of our responsibilities. Thus, promoting safe active transportation aligns with the city mandate.

The run was not funded primarily due to its passing already, we also suggested more stable options be explored for this.

@mamaadvocate1 @Adam_Stirling We are allocating funds based on committee priorities in light of the existing policy document.

While these are great events, they use our grant 💰 to then grant to other organizations which is explicitly against the policy.

Grants-in-aid is just not the spot for these events.
