Gardaí from the Commercial Vehicle Unit stopped this truck, it had no road tax and was operating for haulage without a licence ,rear crash bar on the trailer was missing. Truck was detained. FCPN issued to the driver and the Company will receive a summons for Court.

Two HGVs stopped at a checkpoint. Both drivers had tampered with tachographs in an attempt to hide hours.

Both lorry’s tyres were below legal standards and were replaced at the scene.

One driver was arrested and charged for dangerous driving the other given court summons.
